“LIMINAL THREADS”
12/13-12/31
Liminal Threads delves into the delicate intersections of human experience, exploring the blurred boundaries of time, memory, and emotion. Through texture, layers, and emotive gestures, the exhibit embodies the concept of the liminal—a space of transition between past and future, self and other, seen and unseen.

THE ARTISTS
ELIZABETH
SNIPES
Elizabeth is a contemporary painter and Distinguished Professor at Lander University in SC. She approaches painting and drawing as a tactile and responsive act. While the subject of the figure is her formal starting point, it is also a conceptual vehicle with which she associates her individual experiences. These associations translate into spatial, chromatic, and linear choices - becoming metaphors for vulnerability, relationship, strength, loss, self-perception, and curiosity.
EVE
BROWN
Eve Brown is a multi-disciplinary artist and movement teacher based in Atlanta, GA. Much of Brown’s work begins in eroticism. Eroticism is everything, and it’s inherently interdisciplinary- it’s fascination, change, paying attention, keeping her senses open and questions sprawling. She begins her work in the aliveness of her own body and in an act of rebellion and reclamation, leans into, trusts and listens to what her body wants to make.
Annalise
Nelson
Annalise Nelson Annalise is a visual artist who paints as a way to give an abstract, descriptive container for imagined emotional webs to exist. Emotive forms crash, color dances and pools, active lines seek to contain the often dramatic conversation of what shape gets to exist where, how does all this color fit together, and how do different feelings blend and boundary?
